PBD Anniversary Challenge #4!!!

Hey Everyone!!! Do you know what day it is today?? The TWO year anniversary of Pink By Design!! If you haven't heard already there are some BIG, fun things happening today! On the Pink By Design blog there are challenges every hour and tons of prizes being given away! PLUS for anyone who participates in EACH challenge will be getting a FREE stamp set sent to them!!! How awesome is that!!!! Plus there are going to be a few awesome surprises you don't want to miss!

The project this hour is to Create a project using a silhouette shape!! When I say "silhouette" I DON"T mean a cut from a silhouette machine - but just an outline of a shape.
Take a peek at my projects...

My cut came from the Silhouette online store and I used the Damask background stamps as well as a sentiment from the Shopaholic stamp set from Pink By Design.

This cut also came from the Silhouette online store and I used the Script background set for the background behind the heads and the Inner Princesses set for the sentiment, both from Pink By Design.

You can use any shape you want - as long as it's just the outline of that shape!! Now head into your craft room then link up over at Pink By Design (Challenge #4) for a chance to win some AWESOME prizes!!!!

Just in case you need a little more inspiration, here are a couple other projects I have made in the past using silhouettes!!

I hope this enough to kick start your creative juices!!! :)

Tag, You're It - Pink By Design Challenge

Hey Everyone!! Hope you all had a great weekend!! I definitely did! I left my girls home with their dad and went to my friend's - who has been in Australia for 4 years - wedding in the city! The next morning I went to the spa for a couple hours, did a little shopping then met up with my mom, cousin, sister in law and a few other people and went to a dinner theatre play! Such a great weekend with people I don't always get to see! :)

This layout was made with the new Sandcastle Collection over at Pretty Little Studio!
I was inspired by the current challenge over at Pink By Design - Tag, You're It! The challenge was to include a tag somewhere in the project. You have until Tuesday night to get your projects linked up at the Pink By Design blog. Remember, you don't have to use Pink By Design stamps in order to be a winner over there!!

These pics are from Brittyn's first visit to the zoo! Such a fun little summer day last year! I can't believe how much she's grown...

I used the Just My Type stamp set by Pink By Design for all the words on the journaling tag. They're kind of hard to see in the pic...

I cut the word 'summer' out on my cameo and traced around the outside with a blue gel pen to make it stand out.

Sorry, not a lot of details for this layout today - I was super late posting it and now I'm off to make supper for my hungry family!!! :)

Belly Laughs

Well, my mission to get my scrapbooks up to date continues!! :) Hope you're not getting sick of my layouts!!

Here is another one, using the same KI Memories kit that I used for the layout yesterday. Love these pics of Brittyn when she was a little baby... Makes my heart smile.

I'm usually not a fan of the alphabet sets but lately I've been loving them. It makes creating a title so quick and easy - right up my alley these days!!

I love the Journaling stamp set by Pink By Design, a definite must have for any scrapbooker!!

Hope you're inspired!!! Have a crafty and creative day!!

Pink By Design Post Day!

Hey crafty friends!!! :) Today is my day to post over at Pink By Design! Make sure you head over there to check out some news on some upcoming Pink By Design events!! Some super exciting things happening!!

My layout today features pics of my girls having a moment I never ever want to forget... Bria was giving Brittyn a lesson on how to drink her very first juice box.

I used a kit from KI Memories that I purchased through Scrapbooking Steals a while ago and have been hoarding! :) I'm so bad for that... I never want to use my pretty paper but I realized the other day that if I don't start using it, my hubby will see it piling up and think I don't need to buy any more! Can't let that happen, now can we?! ;)

I used the Sibling Love stamp set from Pink By Design for this layout. Such a sweet set.

Hope you liked my layout today!!! Thanks for stopping by!! :)

Hippity Hop

Hey guys!! If you've stopped by my blog this week at all you may have noticed my absence... It's been  a bit of a crazy week.... We started off with the attempt at a camping trip that didn't work out so well, followed by me coming down with the flu and then a head cold for the remainder of the week. Throw that in with very little sleep and there hasn't been a lot of crafty time. :( Good news is that I'm feeling better and hoping to start catching up on sleep again!!! Here's to hoping!!

Here is the very first layout I have created using graphics and the print and cut feature on the Cameo!

And now I am totally addicted to buying graphics!! Right now I don't have time to put together all the little cuts in SVGs and Cricut cuts... I made the words in the silhouette software and added the patterns to the letters by using digital background paper that matches the Easter Parade graphics.

Of course there is a Pink By Design stamp on the layout... This sentiment comes from the Hoppy Spring set which has some really adorable sentiments on it!

These graphics were adorable on their own, but I used my Martha Stewart glitter pens to add some pretty details to them.

I will be entering this layout into the Cameo Creations challenge over at Monica's Creative Madness

I hope you loved my layout today!! :) While you are here, I have a some fun news! I'm hosting a blog hop!! Check out the button on the top left side of my blog!

Make sure you mark your calendars or add the badge to your blog as a reminder!! :) I have some super talented crafters taking part in the hop to celebrate my girls' birthday's with me and of course there will be awesome prizes!!!

Make sure to stop by tomorrow for my Pink By Design post!!

Crawling Cutie

So my quest to catch up on the girls' scrapbooks before the new baby arrives isn't doing too great... I think I'm going to have to cut down the amount of pics I scrap!! Either that, or I will need my own library just for scrapbooks by the time they are 18! :)

This is one layout I couldn't skip though...

I was sooo torn when picking out my supplies to work on this layout... I am always sooo girly, I actually VERY rarely dress my girls in blue or green just because I always think that they are GIRLS! Girls need PINK and PURPLE, don't they?! ;) I'm slowly getting over this.... but when I was working on the layout I needed to match Brittyn's shirt with the colors of the page. Just a weird complex of mine! :) I made sure to add lots of bows to bring some "girly" to it!

I used some Making Memories adhesive letters. LOVE these!! The letters are already cut, but you adhere them down, peel the top layer off and then can adhere any glitter or flock you'd like to them. I wish I remembered where I got them, I'm using them up like crazy!

I actually dusted off my Cricut for this cut!! Amazing!! Isn't she a cute little crawling worm?? I added some glossy accents to her cute little Peachy face, as well as some Blush copic to her cheeks for color.

Here is what I used for this layout...
-  Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge
- twine from The Twinery
- Journaling, So Big! and Artisan Tags stamp sets from Pink By Design
- Making Memories adhesive letters
- Martha Stewart glitter
- Momenta and Me & My Big Ideas paper
- Peachy Keen face stamps
- paper crimper
- Recollections pearls
- buttons from stash
- doodles with white Gelly roll pen

This layout was inspired by this week's Ink It Pink Challenge over at Pink By Design. The theme this week is 'Show Us Some Sparkle'! Always fun for me! Love anything shiny!! Make sure to get your projects in (you can enter as many times as you'd like!!), there is always great prizes to be won!!

Halloween Tag Tutorial

I know this sounds crazy, but I've been working on Christmas, Easter and Halloween projects lately!! I started working on a couple layouts to try to submit for publications and that got the holiday ball rolling! I'm on a mission to get my scrapbooks semi caught up before the new baby arrives and so far I'm doing ok. I have my fingers crossed that tonight I will get a couple done.

The project I am showing you today is a little tag I made to put onto a layout using all the supplies shown below.

I started by cutting out a large spiderweb using my cameo that I later used as a mask.

On a tag that was dyed in tea, I laid the spiderweb and sprayed black Ditto shimmer spray over it. FYI I had the tag placed in a 12x12 cardboard box to catch any of the black overspray - which there was a lot of! When I lifted up the spiderweb this is the design that was left...

I also inked around the edges with the orange Tim Holtz Distress Ink (sorry, not sure what the color is and I'm too lazy to go downstairs into my craft room!). I added a vintage kitty cutout from Pretty Little Studio, a little Smash washi tape, a button/twine, and some paper from the DCWV Ghosts and Goblins mini stack.

The little border from the DCWV stack is adorable...

I'm going to link up this little project over at Pink Cricut's Link Up Tuesdays! Make sure you stop over there for a lot of awesome projects!! There is everything from furniture to altered glasses to furniture!!  It's super inspiring!!

Today we're taking the girls to the spray park in a town about an hour from here, then coming home to pack up the trailer and go camping for a few days next week. Should be lots of good summer fun! :) Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Celebrate Today

Hi all my crafty friends!! I have yet another card for you today!! A lot of the cards I made I will make a couple at a time so that I always have a large stash of cards on hand. My goal when making most of my cards is to keep them easy to reproduce, but still make them special and with detail. I think this card is the perfect combination!

I find that people of ALL ages love cupcakes - and I definitely do!! If you follow my blog, you have probably noticed that I make a lot of cupcake projects. They're just so much fun! :)

I used my divine swirls cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the icing on my cupcake. Then to give it a neat effect I added glossy accents over top of all the embossing.

I just recently received this stamp set from Pink By Design. It has larger sentiments on it, which I have been waiting for! Now I just have to get used to placing them on my projects because I'm so used to incorporating smaller sentiments. I also added some Glossy Accents over the sentiment to make it stand out a little more.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card...
- Me & My Big Ideas paper
- Giant Greetings stamp set by Pink By Design
- Cupcake cut from ... hmm... for the life of me, I cannot remember where I actually cut this from! Sorry! :(
- Glossy Accents
- Divine swirls cuttlebug folder
- button from Dollarstore
- hemp twine from my stash
- ribbon from Michaels
- Colorbox fluid chalk ink

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I appreciate all the nice comments you all leave!! If you leave me your blog address I will be sure to stop by and say 'hi!'! :)

Love You Mom

Can you believe it's JULY already?? I can't... I'm trying to slow summer down. I need to soak up every minute of it! I'm not a Canadian winter kind of girl, I think I was really meant to live somewhere like Florida, or Hawaii. Someday. :)

So this was another of the cards I made for a friend of mine (one of 31). Actually, this was the LAST of 31 cards and I think I was pretty burnt out by the time I reached this one. I'm definitely not happy with it, but thought maybe someone out there would be able to gain some inspiration from it. :)

I think I would have been a lot happier with it if the tag had actually  matched the pink in the rest of the card... I don't even think I was seeing straight by this point! LOL

I was trying to show the dimension of the card in this pic... The teapot, cup, and sentiment were all popped up using foam stickers.

Here is what I used to make this card...
- J'adore graphics from Lettering Delights
- scalloped frame from the Silhouette store
- DCWV paper - The Carnival Stack
- Our Mothers stamp set from Pink By Design
- Recollections pearls
- glossy accents
- white gelly roll pen
- Colorbox fluid chalk ink

And that's all!! Make sure you stop back again tomorrow - I have post scheduled all week long!! :)

Un-frog-gettable

Hi Everyone!! Happy belated Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!! I'm sure a lot of you have the day off work today and are hopefully enjoying a great summer day with your families!! :) Bria starts swimming lessons today and we're both so excited!! She LOVES swimming and I love having the peace of mind that she will be learning to be safe in the water!

This week I have mostly cards for you! A friend of mine asked me to sell her thirty one cards so I was a busy girl last week. A lot of them were cards I had made previously but I still had quite a few to make.

This card was inspired by a super cute card that a friend of mine, Rebekah from Crafty Teacher Mom, posted on the Pink By Design Blog. Check out her card HERE

I had totally overlooked this sentiment until I saw her card!

I purchased this graphic from Lettering Delights. I combined the frog graphic with a circle shape and some digital paper. The I printed out some matching flowers and popped them out in front.

Of course there was some twine involved!! I recently realized how much twine that I have (a sample pack and about 9 full spools) and I thought I'd better get using it!!

Here is a list of everything I used to make this card...
- Lettering Delights Peepsqueakers graphics and paper
- Just Sayin' stamp set by Pink By Design
- twine
- white gelly roll pen
- Recollections pearls

Tomorrow is my day to post over at the Pink By Design blog so make sure you stop over to check out my project!! ALSO, did you see all the new stamps released over at Pink By Design Friday night? If not, definitely check those out!! Sarah did a great job as always!!
