Congrats on Your Little Man - PLUS Pink By Design Blog Hop!!!

Hey crafters!!!! So today is a big day for Pink By Design!! It's release day! The ladies are having a blog hop to show off all the new stamps!!

Make sure you head on over to the
to start the hop!! There is a TON of AWESOME blog candy being given away and the DT has some really great projects!! You don't want to miss out!

I wasn't a part of the hop since I can't get my stamps in time living way up here in the "great white north" but I wanted to try to take part as much as I could. My project today is not using stamps from the upcoming release, but from one of Sarah's last couple releases.

I love this set!! I have so many ideas that I can't wait to get to, using it!!

I am in love with making cards with matching bags to use to give baby gifts in. People always love to receive a gift in great wrapping!!

So make sure you head over and check out all my PBD friends' projects!! And don't forget about the UStream tonight - always a good time!!

The USTREAM will begin at 8pm CST (9 EST) You can go there BY CLICKING: www.ustream.tv/channel/pink-by-design-stamp-release

Have a great day!!

Find Courage (plus giveaway winner)

HI crafty peeps!! I have a pretty simple card to share today. There has been a lot of tragedy around our tiny little town in the past year. Unfortunately, I don't have many sympathy cards on hand, so I thought I should get on it.

I cut three simple hearts, inked them and used my sewing machine to stitch them on. A little inking with some distress ink and a Pink By Design sentiment, and viola! :)

Easy Peasy!! :)

Here are the supplies I used...
- Vintage Photo Distress Ink
- Momenta paper
- Sympathy stamp set by Pink By Design

And now what I'm sure you've been waiting for! :) The winner of the twine sample giveaway from last week.

And the winner IS...

Margaret M!!!!

Congrats Margaret! I will be contacting you shortly!!

Really hope you stop back again tomorrow!!

Homespun Affair Color Challenge - June

Hey everyone!! Hope you all had a great weekend!! I know we did!! My husband has had a little more time off than usual and we have been doing all kinds of fun things with the girls. It's been great!!!

Last night I found time to get a card put together for the Homespun Affair June Color Challenge. I LOVE the colors in the challenge - so bright and summery!! The colors are salmon, pink, and yellow

I have been really wanting to work with some glitter and this was the perfect project!! :)

How cute and summery is that??

I used some foam tape to make sure these little suckers stood out - not that all the glitter didn't already make them pretty eye catching! :) Speaking of glitter... A little trick I'd like to share when I use glitter is to spritz the glittered pieces (before putting the cuts together) with some hairspray to keep the glitter from falling off all over the place. :)

Of course I had to add a Pink By Design sentiment...

Here is what I used for this project...
- Martha Stewart glitter (adhered with a large ZIG 2 way glue pen)
- Popscicle cut from Simply Charmed (YES - I had to dust off my cricut!)
- loop borders from the Silhouette store
- paper from the Carnival stack from DCWV
- sentiment from Be Mine by Pink By Design

I am also linking this card up over at Pink Cricut for Link Up Tuesdays
Make sure you head on over to check out the Homespun Affair Magazine!! It has some awesome information in it!!! Love it! And you still have a couple days to link up your projects to this color challenge! Hurry! :)

ALSO head on over to Ginger Snaps Scraps to add some of your projects to the Link Up Party going on!!

OH! And just one more thing! :) Tomorrow I will be announcing the winner of the twine giveaway I had over at the Pink By Design blog!! Make sure to stop back to see if it's you

Welcome Little One

Hey Guys!! SO this post is supposed to be for tomorrow, but I won't be at home all day (I'll be heading off to the city for my ultrasound!!!) and I wanted to link it up at the Peachy Keen challenge before the deadline tomorrow.... Here we are!! :)

So recently I have been raving about print/cut on the cameo. I think the BEST thing about this feature, is that I have figured out how to block out the faces on graphics so that I can add my own cute Peachy!!!

(I'll apologize now for the crappy pics.... no light, past my bedtime, etc., etc.) ;)

Speaking of babies... I have had three friends who have recently had baby girls!! Let's just say, I mass produced this card/bag set!

How adorable is that little face?!

I purchased this graphic from MyGrafico - my newest guilty pleasure!!

And of course no project would be complete without a little Pink By Design somewhere!! :)

Here is what I used for this project...
- Baby In A... from My Grafico
- Assorted Baby Faces Peachy Keen stamps
- Sentiment from Sweet Baby by Pink By Design
- scalloped circle from Silhouette store
- Blush copic marker
- white gelly roll pen

ALSO head on over to Ginger Snaps Scraps to add some of your projects to the Link Up Party going on!!

I hope you enjoyed my project today!! If you missed my post from yesterday, make sure to check it out!! I'm giving away some fun twine! :)

you COLOR my world (and a little giveaway)

Today is my day to post over at Pink By Design!! Make sure you head over there and leave a comment to be eligible for the assorted twine samples I am giving away!! :)

I can't wait to share this layout! I've had the Big Hexagon stamp set from Pink By Design for a while and just haven't had a chance to play with it. When I finally got a chance to stamp, I was seriously amazed! The patterns are pretty small, but the stamp comes out soooo detailed! They look awesome close up. Have a peek! :)

I used a ColorBox rainbow ink pad with all the different colors in it as a guide to how to arrange the hexagons.

Of course, I used my white Gelly roll pen to add some doodles. I wanted to make sure the hexagons were the focus of the layout so I kept the design pretty simple.

Here is what I used to make this layout...
- 12x12 Recollections paper
- letters cut with my Cameo (talk about perfect cuts!!!!)
- Big Hexagon stamp set by Pink By Design
- twine from The Twinery
- Colorbox rainbow ink pad
- white gelly roll pen

I am going to be giving away a assortment of twine like the twine I have used in this project!!

Here's what  ya have to do... First make sure you are a follower here, then head on over to Pink By Design blog and leave me a comment on my post (make sure you leave a way for me to contact you!!). Also make sure you're a follower over there. Easy peasy!! :) You have until Thursday at midnight to leave a comment to be eligible to win the twine.

Sisters layout

Hello crafty friends!!! SO today I have another layout to show you... I cannot really say I'm too happy with how it turned out but thought I would post it anyway... I used some items from a Momenta kit and kind of threw it together. My favorite part is my new washi tape! :)

I still cannot believe that I have two little girls... Growing up without a sister meant it was my dream to have two little girls! I love these sisterly moments!! Wednesday I will (probably) find out if the girls will have another sister, or a little brother!!

I used some chipboard stickers as well as 3D stickers that came in the kit.

And here is my new washi tape!!! :) Love the look of it! Can't wait to play with it on some more projects!!

I only used ONE 'ingredient' on my layout today...
- Momenta Simply Perfect Page Kit - Floral

Make sure you stop back tomorrow for my Pink By Design post and a little giveaway!!

Pink By Design Ink It Pink Challenge

Hey everyone!! I love posting on Saturdays... Maybe it's because a lot of bloggers seem to take the weekends off... I really miss my favorite blogger's lack of posting over the weekends! :( Oh well, just one reason to look forward to Mondays! (That, and the Bachelorette!!! :))

Today I wanted to show you a card that someone asked me to make so they could give it to their friend for his 50th birthday

He has recently purchased a Harley for himself so I thought these colors, along with a motorcycle silhoutte from the Silhouette store would be perfect. My cameo cut the card pretty well (way better than my cricut would have, that's for sure!!) since it was a REALLY detailed cut. As I was taking a peek through the Silhouette store I saw quite a few things I loved, so I finally broke down and bought a subscription...

I also thought this sentiment was perrrrfect! This stamp - this whole stamp set (Take the Cake), actually - has been very well loved by me. :)

Here is what I used to make this card...
- motorcycle from the silhouette store
- Take the Cake stamp set by Pink by Design
- dotted Cuttlebug embossing folder
- doodles with a white gelly roll pen

This card fits perfectly into the Ink It Pink Challenge going on right now over at Pink By Design!! The theme of the challenge is masculine cards. Make sure you head on over there and check it out, they have been giving away some great prizes!!

As you are reading this, my little family and I will be enjoying all the festivities at the rodeo in the little town close to here!! I'll post some pics!! Enjoy your weekend!!

Big Sis Layout

Hey everyone!! Firstly I want to start off by thanking you all for all the love you have left me on my blog as of recently. So nice. I'm working to stop by all of your blogs to check out what beautiful works of art you have all been creating!!

I think these prego hormones may be making me a little sentimental tonight as I type this post! LOL I had a great day with my girls. Ya know those days where you just take everything your kids do IN, and REALLY look at them?! When you can see them not just as kids, but as beautiful, loving little beings?! That was me today. I've really been taking time for myself lately and it has worked WONDERS! I think I'm a better mom for it.

Anyways.... like I said, hormones... :) This layout is what is ALSO making me sentimental...

These pics bring back my precious memories of all the love Bria had for her baby sister when she was born. They still love each other, but in between biting, pushing and kicking! (Usually over a toy).

I was inspired by the sketch challenge over at Pretty Little Studio this week. LOVE those sketches, plus the DT gives amazing inspiration.

I love the Sibling Love set by Pink By Design. It has sooo many great sentiments.

This was my very first attempt at cutting letters with my cameo. LOVE that thing - cuts like butter!!!

Here is everything I used for this layout...
- Paper is Momenta
- Sibling Love stamp set from Pink By Design
- Journalling set from Pink By Design
- Paisley cuttlebug folder
- Recollections washi tape
- buttons, twine & pearls from my stash
- sewing machine

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day!

I HEART Pretty Little Studio

Welcome!!! :) So if you have ever heard of pretty little studio, I'm sure you love their products.... I know I DO! :) They have the cuuuutest vintage stuff. Vintage really isn't my style, but for Pretty Little Studio, I try! Someday it'll start working for me, for now, it's going to have to be mediocre! :)

Aw.... I just think she was the cutest little chunky baby!! :) She's such a little sweetheart...

No layout of mine would be complete without a Pink By Design stamp somewhere!!!

I love making rosettes, and they make the prettiest accents on projects!!

This is the cutest little clothes pin ever!! :)

Here is what I used on this layout...
- paper from Summer Breeze Collection, scalloped circles, 'B for Bunny', heart journal tag, 'beautiful' tag all from Pretty Little Studio
- sentiments from Sweet Baby stamp set by Pink By Design
- buttons and clothes pin from my stash

DID YOU KNOW??? Today is a NEW Ink It Pink Challenge over at the Pink By Design blog!!! Plus the winner of last week has been announced! This week the challenge is a masculine card/project. Since Father's Day is this weekend the theme of the challenge is a masculine themed project! Can't wait to see your entries!!! :)

Hope you have an amazing day! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Cheese to my Maccaroni

Hi friends!! So today I was going to post another layout that I did this weekend but at the last minute I choose to post a card I made instead! I made this card for my husband, for his birthday on the 18th, from my daughters. I used print and cut with some graphics from My Grafico, paired them with a cute Pink By Design stamp, and added a couple little details!!

I took this pic in such a hurry I didn't even realize the button was out of place... :( Oh well.... it's fixed now! :)

I used my fluid chalk inks to add some color to the cheese to give it a little more dimension. And of course I had to add some cute little Peachy Keen faces, with glossy accents on their eyes! :) Have you ever seen cheese and noodles look so cute?

The sentiment that just makes this card is from one of Sarah's (from Pink By Design) fairly recent releases, You Are. If you haven't yet, you need to check out this set - it's adorable! Sooo many cute sentiments on it!

So here is everything I used...

- K&Company paper stack - sorry too lazy to run downstairs for the name of the designer! :p
- cheese & noodle graphics from the Classic Couples set from My Grafico
- 'Our Fathers' set for the 'DAD' sentiment and 'You're the cheese to my Maccaroni' sentiment from 'You Are' - both from Pink By Design
- Corny Faces from Peachy Keen
- button & twine from my stash
- blush copic marker for the cheeks on the faces
- glossy accents for the eyes
- doodles with a white gelly roll pen

I'm linking this card up to 'Link Up Tuesdays' over at Pink Cricut and also over at Monica's Creative Madness!!

Hope you enjoyed my cute, simple Daddy Birthday card!! :) I guess it could also be used for Father's Day as well!!

Brittyn's 1st Pig Tails! :)

Happy Monday everyone!! This weekend I went a little layout crazy! It just dawned on me that Baby #3 is going to be here in 4 1/2 months already, and I am soooo behind on the girls' scrapbooks. I really wish I could get them all up to date, but I know realistically that's probably not going to happen... My goal is to work on getting Brittyn's scrapbook caught up to the point that Bria's is at. Even this could be a stretch, but here I go!! :)

I used the sketch over at Pretty Little Studio as inspiration for this layout of the first pig tails I ever put in Brittyn's hair. I think she was about 7 months old, and if you follow my blog you'll know she had a HEAD of hair when she was born! :)

I've had the Cherry Limeade DCWV stack for a long time now, and I think this is probably the first time I've used it! Love this color combination!

I picked these pretty flowers up the last time we were in the states... Aren't they pretty?!

Of course, no layout would be complete without a PBD sentiment!

Here is everything I used...
- The Cherry Limeade stack by DCWV
- Maya Road pink flower
- Notebook Paper background stamp by Pink By Design
- sentiment is from Sweet Baby stamp set by Pink By Design
- Twine from The Twinery
- lace, button, tulle and pearls from stash

Annnnd that's it! Wish me luck in the challenge I am entering this into! Winner receives a $10 GC to Pretty Little Studio - which I could totally use!! :) Speaking of Pretty Little Studio... I have another layout using all their products to show you this week!

Princess, It's Your Day

Welcome Friends!!! I have something girly girl to show you today!! Bria got to go to her very first Birthday party the other day... She has been to her cousin's parties, but she was younger and she didn't even really know what was going on! LOL! This party was for two of her little friends from her Playschool class AND it was a princess party! She wore her fancy Belle dress and had her hair all pretty... We were there for about 5 minutes before she started acting really funny and ended up getting sick at the party and we had to go home. :( I think I might throw her her own Princess Party this year. :) Even though what she REALLY wants (she tells us) is a Sleepover Party with her boyfriend Caleb... YIKES!!! Yes, it starts at 3 years old apparently!!

These are the cards I made for the two Birthday Princesses.

Aren't they cute? I used my last doilies on these cards!! Guess I'll have to make a trip to the Dollarstore because apparently I use them a lot!!

Here is everything I used for this card...
- Once Upon A Princess Cricut Cart for the crown (which I also misted with my homemade glimmer mist)
- Momenta paper
- heart shaped rhinestones from the Dollarstore
- ribbon from Michaels
- sentiment is from Inner Princess from Pink By Design
- sewing machine

Hope you liked my card today!! I'm going to link it up over at Pink Cricut!! Make sure to head over there to see all the awesome projects other people have linked!! Great inspiration source!!!

Stop by again soon!! :)

Teacher Appreciation

Are you loving stopping back in here on a regular basis?? :) I suuuuure love having you!! I have a couple more cards to show you over the next couple of days, then I really hope to get working on some layouts!!! I'm really behind in my girls' scrapbooks, and with another baby coming I think I'm getting in a little too deep!! :) Can you imagine the crafty shock I'm going to have if this baby is a boy?! I've always been so used to making such GIRLY projects!!! I guess we'll see... ;)

My card today is for a teacher... And of course I used the print and cut feature and my cameo. Love, love, LOVE this!!! Makes things sooo much quicker!! I tried to make a video to show you all how to use this feature, but it bombed so maybe I'll try another one next time...

I have also been looooving my sewing machine these days!! I've really gotten onto using it and now it gets used in almost every project!
This card has a lot of dimension which is one of my favorite things about it!!

Here's my 'ingredients'...
- Momenta paper
- chalkboard graphic from Lettering Delights
- 'Our Teachers' stamp set by Pink By Design
- white embossing powder
- sewing machine
- EK Success Notebook border punch
- doodles with white gelly roll pen

Make sure you come back again soon!! I still have so many projects to share with you!!! And think of me today while I am out planting trees in our yard, while it rains!! :) Should be fun!!

Dad, You're Stasche-tastic!!

Hi! Hi!! Today I have a cool bag and card set I want to show you!! I wanted to keep this design super simple...

How neat is this?!

I used black detail embossing powder (more fine than normal powder) and the stamped images turned out AWESOME!!!

Here's everything I used...
- 'Dad' is from the Our Fathers set by Pink By Design
- the mustache and sentiment are from Mustaches also by Pink By Design
- black detail embossing powder
- gift bag & tissue paper

I am entering this card into the new challenge over at Scrappy Mom's. I'm so excited since I haven't had time to enter anything in a challenge for what feels like FOREVER!!

That's it!!! Like I said, pretty simple!!! :) Sometimes it's nice to keep things clean and simple! I also made this exact card/bag set and changed 'Dad' to 'Grandpa'.

Hope to see you back here again soon!!! :)

Here is what I used to make this card...
- Take the Cake stamp set by Pink By Design
- Chevron background stamp by Pink By Design

Happy Birthday, Lil Bucaneer!!

So glad you decided to stop by today!! :) I have a super cute card and bag set I made for my nephew that I am really excited to share!!

I am in looooooove with the print and cut feature on my Cameo!!! I just don't have time these days to cut out a million little pieces and put them all together. When I think about it, I actually just avoid crafting... That's why when I finally sat down and figured out print/cut I was on cloud 9!! Sooooo much quicker!!

The background of this card was torn by hand, then inked using Distress Ink to give it a "treasure map" type of feel. Using the same ink I made the print outs a little "dirty" looking by inking the edges as well.  I also used Matte Accents to make the bottom of the ship look like wood. Love how it turned out!!

Here is what I used...
- All Around sentiment stamps and circle die from My Creative Time
- pirate graphics from Lettering Delights
- Script background stamp by Pink By Design
- Recollections brads

I hope you love my project today!! :) I was super happy with how it turned out!! Make sure you come  back tomorrow for a peek at my project for the Pink By Design blog!!!
