Golden Girl

Hey everyone!! Happy Friday!! It has been a while since I've posted on here!! I haven't had a ton of crafting time, and when I am crafting I have been working on upcoming DT projects. (I have some super fun projects in store for you over the next month or two!) Last night I was inspired at the Pretty Little Studio blog so I broke out all my PLS goodies that I hoard...

I was inspired by the current sketch challenge going on over at the PLS Blog. I used my Stampin' Up Banner Punch for make all of my triangles from various patterns from the Summer Breeze collection.

I just LOVE the adorable vintage feel.... I think I need to get myself some more PLS since I used some up last night... ;)

I painted some American Craft DIY Thickers to use as letters for my title. (So addicted to the DIY thickers!)

Did you catch a glimpse of one of my newest fav crafty embellishments??? Sequins! :) I bought an awesome package at a party supply store a couple weeks ago but wasn't sure how I was going to use them... Then I saw them being used on a few projects at My Creative Time and Scrapping Navy Wife and I think those ladies have me hooked!! :)

Here is a list of everything I used on this layout...
- Summer Breeze Collection
- Stampin' Up Banner Punch
- Gold Shimmer twine from The Twinery
- American Crafts Thickers (and Martha Stewart acrylic paint)
- sequins

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have an amazing weekend - Happy LONG weekend to my Canadian friends!!!

So Sweet

About a year ago I caught the digital paper BUG! I rarely ever buy stacks of traditional paper anymore. I know I can buy a pack of digital paper for next to nothing and print out as many sheets as I need, plus it’s great to know I will never run out!
Part of the fun in playing with digital paper is adding my own personal twist to them. I saw the perfect opportunity to jazz up the strawberry pattern paper from the new Berry Sweet Digital Scrapbook Kit (free for a limited time) from Peppermint Creative.
Digital hybrid strawberry layout3
Included in this kit, are the cutest little felt strawberries. I sized the strawberries so they were exactly the same size as the ones in the pattern paper, then printed and cut them out using my Silhouette Cameo  (can also be done by a steady hand!)
The beautiful thing about digital paper is that you DO NOT need a special printer! I often use a regular all in one printer and get great letter sized prints!
I added some foam stickers to the back of my strawberries to make them stand out from the paper.

Adding the strawberries over top of the ones in the pattern paper gave a great detail to my layout!

Such a simple, easy way to take pattern paper to the next level! There are other great ways to really make the most of your digital paper as well – add glitter, rhinestones, glossy accents, flock, sequins, etc.
Let the digital paper addictions begin!!

A Tight Squeeze From Me To You

Hey there!! Today I created a really fun card that I hope will put a smile on one very special little girl's face! If you would like to read the story about Maddy, and why Simon Says Stamp is putting on a card drive for her, check out THIS link.

Today I played with a digital collection from Dear Lizzy called Neopolitan. I am so in love with the softness of this collection.

Everything on this card was print and cut. I added some gold shimmer twine from The Twinery on thetag, some rhinestones on the wheels and some foam stickers for dimension. Pretty straight forward!

I hope this little girl just gets SHOWERED with cards. My heart breaks when any of my little girls get sick, I couldn't imagine what Maddy and her parents are going through.  It really makes a person forget about the petty things in life, and appreciate the great.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Day!

Happy Wednesday, friends!! It's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons day!!

For my layout today, I played with Lisa's new Patriotic Balloon Files (a freebie in the store until Friday!!).

These pics are from when we brought our very last baby, Taylah, home from the hospital. I remember thinking about all journeys our sweet little girl would take over her lifetime. She has already flown all the way to Orlando, Florida, by the time she was only 7 weeks old! :)

I used the Sunday Afternoon stack from DCWV, which I am in love with right now.

Here is what I used for this layout...
- DCWV Sunday Afternoon paper
- American Crafts Thickers with Grey Martha Stewart glitter
- Peachy Keen ABCs and 123s stamps
- Recollections pearls
- natural hemp

Mark your calendars for this weekend's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Get Well hop this weekend!

I guarantee there will be some awesome projects and blog candy, of course! Have a great day!!

Jaded Blossom Challenge - Food Related

Click HERE for Monica's Surprise Baby Shower Blog Hop!!!

Happy Saturday!! Hopefully the weather where you are is beautiful!! It's another gloomy, rainy day here, but we're making the best of it by having a movie morning in the basement! The girls get to watch a movie, and I get to work on some little crafty projects! :)

I have been wanting to participate in a Jaded Blossom Challenge for a while, but just never seem to get my projects done one time!! I am linking up by the skin of my teeth today!! :)

I used the 'What's Up Buttercup' digital kit by Heather Roselli (from Sweet Shoppe Designs) to create a topper for my little treat. I started with a square filled with a pattern paper, added a cute little digital flower embellishment, then a layer that looks like some yellow paint.

I stamped the cute little bee from the Love Stings set by Jaded Blossom onto yellow cardstock, and embossed with black powder. I colored in it's wings and eyes with a white gelly roll pen and cut around the edge. I added a little sentiment in the corner and popped my bee up on a thick pop dot.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hairy Lil Monkey

Click HERE for the ScrapbookSteals June Blog Hop!!!

Hey everyone!! Did you see the newest Peachy Keen stamps?? Awesome, as always!! There are a couple new face assortment sets that I NEED to get my hands on!! Today I had my two older girls in my craft room with me long enough to put together a fun little layout using the Summer Days Collection by Echo Park - my FAV - for one of the PK release challenges!!!

I had some American Crafts Thickers left from the ScrapbookSteals hop (going on right now - HERE) and I wanted to use some of my brown flock that has been collecting dust. The brown hairy letters screamed 'MONKEY' to me! :) I used this cute little monkey graphic from Pixel Paper Prints a couple days ago on THIS card and I loved her so much I wanted to use her again!! I love how the PK teddy faces look on her!!

Of course I used some dies from My Creative Time... I have never been a die person until lately!! I am sooo in love with Emma's dies and I used them on almost every project! I LOVE when I get my money's worth out of craft supplies!!

Here is what I used to create my layout..
- Peachy Keen Teddy Bear Face Assortment
- Echo Park Summer Days collection
- My Creative Time doily and scalloped circle die
- American Crafts DIY Thickers
- brown Martha Stewart flock
- dollarstore rhinestones

Hope you liked my layout!! I am hoping to get in a project for the other Peachy Keen release challenge going on right now, too! :)

ScrapbookSteals Blog Hop!!

Hey there!! If you are here from Teresa's blog, then you are in the right place!! If you just stumbled upon this hop, make sure you head back to the beginning - ScrapbookSteals BLOG - to make sure you don't miss any of the awesome projects!!

The products we got to play with - American Crafts DIY Thickers - for this hop are soooo much fun!! The possibilities are endless!! I actually wanted to make a few more projects for this hop, but ran outta time!! I had so many ideas!!

My first project is a layout using family pics from this fall when our baby, Taylah, was born...

Just in case someone out there has never seen, or heard of, DIY Thickers before... They are adhesive on both sides so you can totally customize them!! I used Martha Stewart glitter on the letters in this layout, but you can use flock, coarse glitter, flowersoft... the list goes on! :)

Here is a little tip for using the letters.... They come in a long sheet, and I like to lay out my projects to see how everything will fit, so I cut each letter out so that I could easily figure out the best spot for them on my layout. Once I knew where they should go, I just peeled the backs off and stuck them to the paper.

Here is what I used to make my layout...
- American Crafts DIY Thickers
- Recollections Fabulous Girl stack
- My Creative Time We Are Family stamp set and doily and button dies
- Pink By Design Bracketful stamp set

I also made a quick card...

These Thickers are material chipboard letters and sooo fun!! I sprayed them with dark blue Ditto glimmer spray and they turned out really neat! They look like blue jean letters. I forgot to take a pic, but the inside of the card reads,"Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad".

For this card I used the following supplies...
- American Crafts DIY Thickers
- Ditto Glimmer spray
- file from the Silhouette store
- Pink By Design Our Fathers stamp set

PPPR - Teacher Appreciation

Another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT day today!! Lisa has some awesome new releases lately so make sure to check out those files and paper (HERE!)!!

I used a simple hexagon shape filled with pattern paper from the Spring Fling Collection to make a fun pattern on my card. Each one of these hexagons was cut out individually and glued on by hand. I added a little bit of twine and some white stitching and that's it! Pretty easy little card!! :)

Here is the digital paper pack I used for my card:

Make sure to head back to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog to have a peek at the rest of the Design Team's projects!! Always awesome inspiration!
