Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT Day!

Hey there!! It's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT day!!! I have been having soooo much fun playing with my PPPR digital papers and cutting files! Make sure you head on over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store to check out all Lisa's new items!
For today's project I used the adorable Birthday Panda Cutting Files

I was saving these pictures for so long... I think I was almost scared to scrapbook them because I wanted this page to turn out great and I was a little nervous. When I was browsing through the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store one day I saw the pandas and knew they would work perfectly!

I used my favorite polka dotted Momenta paper for this layout. I love how cute the panda came out with purple polka dots! :)

I used some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine to make a cute little bow for my panda (which totally makes me crave Grape Crush!!!). I inked the edges of my cuts using fluid chalk ink to give dimension. I added some glossy accents to the panda's nose, as well as the icing on my cupcake to give it a shiny look. Some tiny little pearls made the perfect sparkles on my cupcake and I finished the cuts off with some white pen doodles.

I made my own title by offsetting my words in Silhouette Studio and then added some glossy accents to the letters after adhering them to the outline.

Using foam stickers I gave both my panda, and my cupcake tons of dimension.

Using a file from the Silhouette studio, I created a little journaling tag and added some more glossy accents and another little bow.

I am going to link this layout up over at the Scrappy Moms Critter Challenge this week!

Make sure to head on over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog to check out the other projects done by the super talented DT!! AND if you haven't already signed up for the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons newsletter, make sure you do - I have a feeling there could be a great BLACK FRIDAY SALE in our future!!! ;)

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Fall Blog Hop!! If you came from Melisa's blog then you are in the right spot! If you happened to come across this hop on my blog, make sure you head back to Lisa's blog to start at the beginning!
We are all making projects using Lisa's Fall/Thanksgiving projects! I cannot wait to hop and see the rest of the projects, this is one super talented DT! :)
(Click on pictures to see them larger)

In my layout I also used some leaves from the Falling Leaves Cutting Files set...

...which I inked using fluid chalk ink and placed along the edge of some of my pics.

I also cut a fence from the Silhouette store (added some white pen stitching) and my title using fonts in my Silhouette software. You can't really tell from the pic, but the brown scalloped square is very pretty, shimmery DCWV paper. I didn't want to use ALL of the two sheets I had of this paper, so this is what I did...

I sized the scalloped square to how big I wanted it, then added another square along the inside. I made sure I would still have room on my border to adhere the cream layer over top. Now I still have a fairly large square of my glimmery brown paper and it's not wasted underneath the cream square! :)

I used my 3 Girl Jam bow maker and some Baby Boy crinkle ribbon to add some little bows to a couple of pictures.

I used the Fall Fun Cutting Files to make my adorable little girl, playing in the leaves...

Isn't she cute?? I used a Peachy Keen face, a couple embossing folders, fluid chalk ink, white pen, foam stickers and adhesive pearls to add a lot of detail to my little girl in the leaves.

Of course Lisa has some goodies up for grabs...

Trendy Twine's Birthday Celebration Blog Hop!!

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Trendy Twine's Birthday Celebration Weekend.

Lesley said her mom likes bright colors and nature so here is what I came up with!!

I used this bird cut which I purchased from the Silhouette Store along with digital paper from the Rag Doll paper pack at Lettering Delights. My sentiment is stamped on one of the cutting files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons with a sentiment from the Birthday, Birthday stamp set by Pink By Design. Last, but not least, I used some Twisted Teal twine from Annie's Paper Boutique.

I also used some foam stickers to pop up some elements of my card to make sure it had lots of dimension. Using fluid chalk ink, I inked around the edges of my cuts to add even more dimension yet.

Next up on the hop is Dawn!!

Pink By Design - Fancy Nancy Layout

The theme on the Pink By Design blog this week is Favorite Patterns and today's post includes projects that are anything other than a card. Fun!! If you're a follower of my blog, you probably know my favorite projects to work on are layouts!

I found these pics of my daughter, Bria, a little while ago and had to laugh. I remember the day I took these... She came out of her room wearing a LOT of random clothes and I thought it was so funny because she was so proud of herself. Little did I know, it was a little flash of the future. Now she changes her clothes up to 8 times a day - no exaggeration - and is quite the little Diva.

When I saw these 'Fancy Ladies' graphics from JW Illustrations they totally reminded me of Fancy Nancy (if you have girls in your household, I'm sure you know who I'm referring to! :)). I decided to take a Fancy Nancy-ish approach to my layout.

I used some embossed Momenta paper for my base layer.

Using my Spellbinders, I cut two different sized scalloped circles - one out of damask patterned paper and the other out of plain white paper. I then inked up an embossing folder really well and ran the white circle through my cuttlebug in the inked folder. It gave the flowers a really neat look! I then added some yellow Martha Stewart glitter to the flower centers and inked around the edge of the circle. My pretty yellow bow was done using my 3 Girl Jam bow maker and some crinkle ribbon. The journaling spot is a stamp from the Pink By Design Journaling set. My favorite part is the epoxy stickers I made myself. I recently bought some 1" clear epoxy stickers and couldn't wait to find all kinds of ways to use them. I stamped the Damask background stamp in purple and yellow, then stuck the epoxy stickers over top and cut around them.

I was going through all my PBD stamps and I knew THIS one fit this layout soooo perfectly! It's totally something fabulous that Fancy Nancy would say! :) This sentiment came from the My Favorite Kind stamp set.

I used the marvelous print and cut feature on the cameo to make my banner, using fonts I recently downloaded from dafont.com (check it out for a lot of awesome FREE fonts!).

And last, but not least, my little Fancy Nancy - or Fancy Bria as she may be more appropriately called. :) I added some bling to her to make sure she was really fancy. I also used a sakura glitter pen (Clear Sky, I think?) to color in parts of her outfit which made her SHINE.

Hope you liked my layout today and don't forget to check out the other projects up on the Pink By Design blog today!!

OH!! And don't forget to enter this week's challenge: Favorite Patterns!! You aren't required to use a Pink By Design stamp, but we love to see how you use them!! Link up your project below!

Pink By Design - Techniques

Are you loving all the great projects using our favorite patterns on the Pink By Design blog??

Today is technique day, where everyone shares tips on ways to stamp on materials other than paper!

I choose to make a card using some acetate. I love the look of the 'window' in the card!

I used black StazOn ink on my plastic. It's a solvent ink and works so great on any surface and won't smear or smudge like pigment inks. I stamped my sentiment, let the ink dry (which wasn't long at all) and viola! The sentiment I used is from the Giant Greetings set:

Can you believe this is the very first time I have used paper from a 6x6 pad on a project?? I have a lot of 6x6 pads but for some reason I hoard them... they're so pretty! :) All three patterned papers came from the     stack. I added some green 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon with ATG adhesive, then stitched over it with my sewing machine. I also added some little adhesive pearls to the centers of the flowers to add more detail.

I can't wait to check out the BLOG to see what I can learn from the other members' projects today!!

ALSO don't forget about this week's challenge - use your favorite pattern in your project!! For a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the Pink By Design store, make sure to link up your project below!!

"New Baby" has arrived!

Hi friends!! I have some news! :) Our new baby has arrived!!

It's A GIRL!!

That makes 3 Little Princesses!! I guess my blog is going to need some updating!!

Taylah Brooklyn arrived on November 7th at 10:40 pm weighing in at 6 lbs 14 oz, 19 3/4" long

We love her so much!

I made Bria and Brittyn cards from their new little sister with a little message inside.

I used the String Bean family SVGs from Lettering Delights to make my three little girls.

I also got the girls each a new movie that "Taylah" picked out for them. They were so happy to know "the new baby", as they so lovingly call her, brought them gifts!

We're off to get some newborn pictures of Taylah today, as well as our first photo session as a family of five! Wish us luck!! :)

Pink By Design - Challenge: Favorite Patterns!

So happy you are stopping by today!! Today is my first time posting with Pink By Design since all the great changes on the DT! We are now split into "teams" and post on a specific theme throughout the week! Each of three posts during the week has a different topic including a challenge, a technique/tip and a day of projects other than cards! So fun to have to think out of the box!

The theme of the week is to use our favorite patterns! Mine is Damask - as you can tell by my blog! :)

Damask Background

I decided to use some gold embossing powder I have been admiring for a while, but never used.

I used some glimmery gold paper for my top layer and added three hearts, embossed with the PBD Damask pattern and gold embossing powder (TIP: I find my embossing works the best when I use a Versamark watermark ink pad).

I actually stamped and embossed a sheet of white paper, then fed it into my Cameo and cut three hearts. Then I added a ribbon onto the back of each one, popped them up on foam stickers and added some bows. I was going for simple and pretty...

The inside is stamped with the sentiment 'Thinking of you with love this holiday season' from the super popular Christmas Wishes stamp set.

Make sure you stop over at the Pink By Design blog to see what the other ladies have done with their favorite patterns!! THEN, make sure to link up your projects below using your favorite pattern in your project! You have a week to enter your projects and you don't have to use a PBD stamp, although we love to see them! :)

The winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to the Pink By Design store!!

Peachy Keen November Release Challenge #2

CLICK HERE FOR MY PRETTY PAPER, PRETTY RIBBONS POST!!

Just a super quick post... This morning I completed a card for the second Peachy Keen Challenge for their November release.

I used a snowflake flourish from the Silhouette store and added a 1 1/4" circle in the middle with a Peachy face. I used a blush copic for its cheeks and added some glossy accents over its eyes. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms and I added some lace & velvet ribbon from Michaels.

I used really thick foam stickers to give this card a few different layers for dimension.

Hope you like my card!! I'm off for a little rest...

Disney Countdown - Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

Hey there!! It's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT day!!! I have been having soooo much fun playing with my PPPR digital papers and cutting files! Make sure you head on over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store - Lisa has added some super exciting new items today!!!

I am so in love with the project I am sharing with you today! We are heading to Disney World just after Christmas and I wanted to create something fun for the girls to give them an idea of how many more sleeps until they get to go.

I printed off a picture with a lot of Disney characters on it. Next I adhered it onto a piece of cardstock (to make it more sturdy). I needed a way to adhere the countdown squares to the picture without the picture getting torn when the girls took each square off so I added a layer of craft plastic over the picture.

Next, I created 20 squares in my Silhouette software and filled half the squares with red/white small polka dot digital paper, and the other half with black/white larger polka dot digital paper. Then I added numbers to each square, alternating between the red and black squares.

The digital paper is from the Love Bug Collection
(doesn't this just scream Minnie Mouse?!)

Next I printed out all my squares and then cut the with my Cameo.  I laid all the squares out over the picture, mixing the numbers up randomly. I mixed the numbers up so that as the girls removed the squares, random characters would appear. I added one line of ATG adhesive along the top of each square and stuck them onto the picture.

I made a Minnie Mouse silhouette using three circles, grouped them together (cropped), then offset the shape to create the red layer. Next I used a bow from the Silhouette store and filled it with the same polka dot digital paper, then printed, cut it out and put it together.

To create my title, I used the 99 cent file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files...

I hope you loved my project today!! Make sure you head on over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog to check out all the other projects by the DT!!

Peachy Keen Release Challenge #1 - Tags

Well... I am totally prepared for this baby and all I have left to do is enjoy my time with the girls, keep up with daily cleaning and last but not least - craft! Not a bad way to wait for a baby! :) Last night I was busy in my craft room! Actually, my husband and I were both busy in my craft room! :) He happened to mention that he was soooo bored, so I put him to work hanging shelves that have been leaning in the closet for a year!

I have been wanting to get some more Christmas tags and when I saw the first challenge during the Peachy Keen Release party it was like a gentle little push to get going on some!

You all know how I am loving my print and cut, so I went looking through my collection of graphics I have acquired lately. I decided on two different graphic sets, both by JW Illustrations: A Pink Christmas and Christmas Penguins.

I made 6 different designs...

Of course I couldn't just leave my tags plain, so I added some glossy accents, stitching with white pen, pearls, Martha Stewart glitter glue and some PK faces.

I used an assortment of twine from The Twinery and Divine Twine for strings so I have a way to hand the tags from gifts.

The two sets of PK I used are the In Stitches Face Assortment & the Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.

I used one of my most used Pink By Design stamps, Christmas Wishes, for the back sides of my tags.

I adhered the printed circles onto a kraft circle and then used foam stickers to give some dimension in between the glittered/foiled cardstock scalloped circle.

I hope you love my tags!!! If I get time, I may even make more tags before Christmas!! :)

I'm hoping today my kids will be in a good mood and will want to hang out with me in my craft room so I can get working on a project with SNOW for the second challenge! Wish me luck!
