A Happy Hello

This is my SECOND post of the day, to take a peek at my guest appearance project for 3 Girl Jam, scroll down!!! Today is my day to post over at Pink By Design!!! Here is my post......

******

Hey! Candace from Scrappin' 2 Little Princesses here! :) How much are you LOVING all the awesome projects from the new DT members?? Such amazing talent....
This project was inspired by a sentiment from one of Pink By Design's new stamp sets - Just Sayin'. I was browsing through my SVG files and this cut called to me!
I have one super easy little tip for you today.... To make this banner that my sentiment is stamped on, first I cut a strip of paper longer than I knew I would need. (This one was about 3 - 3.5 inches long). I stamped my sentiment, then used my score board to score on either side of the sentiment. I added two more score lines 1/8" from the first two score lines. Then I trimmed the ends of the strip of paper to make it look like a banner. Folding the score lines in opposite directions gives the banner a dimensional look... Use adhesive on the two ends of the banner and viola!! :) I think I really felt the need to share this tip because this is the ONLY thing I ever use my score board for! LOL

Hope you were inspired by my project today!! And just a reminder that today is also a Pink By Design 'Kiss Me, I'm Irish' blog hop followed by a challenge!!! Make sure you check it out!! :)

3 Girl Jam Guest Designer!

Happy Leap Wednesday friends!!! :) I'm so excited today, I'm a guest designer over at my friend's blog - 3 Girl Jam!!! Julie, owner of 3 Girl Jam, is also my Pink By Design "sister"! (In case you're wondering, I was set up to be a guest designer before we knew she would be one of the newest members on the PbD team! :))

I loved getting to work with some samples of Julie's awesome ribbon!! It's sooo pretty!!! And it comes in every color, which I love. Here is the project I made with her Hot Chocolate ribbon...

This ribbon makes the prettiest bows.... I used my Love You A Latte cricut cartridge to cut the coffee cut. This cart has such cute cuts, I wish I would use it more often!!

The sentiment is from the Pink By Design set, Perk Up, which goes perfectly with the Love You A Latte cart.

Head on over to 3 Girl Jam for my guest appearance and check out all the gorgeous colors it comes in!!!

E.A.D. Designs DT Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!! So I am a little frazzled this morning.... Got back from our Mexican holiday at 3 am last night and my girls were up at 6, leaving one super tired Mommy! Which also means, I kind of messed up on the blog hop post this morning!! Hope I got my post up before I messed too many of you up!!! :)

My kids' playroom/play area in the basement is sooo boring. Someday we're planning on turning it into a bar area so I wanted to make it more suited for the kids, but didn't want anything permanent... EAD Designs to the rescue!!! :)

Before:

After:

Brittyn loves talking and petting all the animals!!

The girls have a little playhouse that looks like a cottage in their playroom so I thought these Forest Friends WallArt Stickerz would be PERFECT!!

I hope you like the new playroom!!! There are a few other WallArt Stickerz sets, so make sure to head over and check them out!! They're adorable!!

Now head on over to Jenn's awesome blog!!!

EAD Designs Monday Blog Hop

Welcome to the weekly EAD Designs Blog Hop!!! :) If you are here from Amy's blog then you are in the right spot! If you're just stopping in to check on my blog, make sure to start back at the beginning so you can get in on ALL the EAD inspiration!! PLUS - if you leave a comment on each stop in the hop, you will be entered to win some awesome EAD goodies!!!

I made this decorative plate using vinyl rub-ons that I won from a Customer Showcase on the EAD Designs blog, before I became a DT member. (More about the customer showcase later!! :) This plate took me, no exaggerating, about 30 seconds to "make". I bought the plate for about $3.50. The all I did was peel the backing off the vinyl, rub it onto the plate, and peel of the transfer paper!! Sooooo easy!!!

I actually made it as a Valentine's Day decoration, but loved it so much I'm going to leave it up on our counter!! I just have to buy a stand for the plate now.... I love how the colors came together!! The teal color of the plate doesn't show that well in the pic, but it looks great with the bright pink!!

Now hop over to Jenn's blog to see what awesome project she has for you!!!

Candace (you are HERE)
Jenn (NEXT stop!)

For my project I used the Vintage Treasures Stickerz set:

I cut the rosette from an SVG from Lettering Delights and the frame from the Silhouette store. The SOAR ticket is from the Just the Ticket stamp set by Pink By Design. I used a black paperclip to 'pin' the ticket onto the card.

Anniversary Amore Blog Hop!!!

Hi friends!!!! Welcome to the Anniversary Amore Blog Hop!! I have a lot of super talented crafty friends in this hop lineup who are helping me celebrate my blog's very first anniversary by creating LOVE projects!! :) So exciting! When I started this blog I never ever expected to meet so many amazing crafters. I really do think people in this community are sooo kind and encouraging!!! Speaking of kind and encouraging - we have three AMAZING sponsors for this hop!!!!!!! Check these out...

Pink By Design is giving away their Timeless Pieces stamp set!! So fitting for the occasion! :) I have this set and am in love with it!!! (Check out the post earlier today for a card I made using this set!! :))

Pretty Little Studio is giving one lucky hopper a $25 gift certificate to their online store!!!!!! I have recently discovered this company and they are so great.

EAD Designs has also given us a $25 gift certificate to their store to give away!!! Like I said before, amazing!! You're head will be spinning when looking at all their products - everything from nail decals, to stickers, to wall vinyl!!

These companies all have something in common( besides sponsoring this hop) - they each have an awesome blog with soo many inspiring projects!! Make sure to check them all out and leave a little love for being so generous!! :)

Make sure to leave a comment on each blog in the hop (with a way for me to contact you!) to have a chance to win the prizes the sponsors have donated!! :)

Onto the hop!!!! I made this card for my best friend's wedding in a week. Her and her fiance are getting married on the beach in Mexico!! It's going to be beautiful!!

The bride and groom came from SVGcuts and I embossed the bride's dress with my Divine Swirls embossing folder. The crinkle ribbon was purchased from the Pink by Design store a long time ago.... Unfortunately, they don't sell it anymore but you can get some similar over at 3 Girl Jam. Of course I added some pearls..... The paper is from Momenta

The Sandy Toes set from Pink By Design was perfect for this card...
Did you notice the rock on her finger?? So sparkly!! :)

Your next stop is the super talented Emily!!! I can't wait to see what she has created!!

Here is the lineup in case you have gotten lost along the way!!

EAD Designs Blog Hop!!

**This is my second post of the day... Scroll down for Pink By Design Monday Post!!

I have such a busy day today! It's Bria's Valentine's Day party at Playschool. She even has a special Valentine... His name is Kaleb - and they are in LOVE. Not even joking.... We had to give her a "No Kissing Kaleb" talk before Christmas because they were kissing all the time!! She's 3!! I hope this is not any indication of what's to come! Anyways...

I have been dying to use some of my Chalk It hearts from EAD Designs and this was the PERFECT card for them! This card is for Bria's sweetheart of a teacher.

I actually went and bought chalk just so I could use it on these hearts! In addition to the Chalk It hearts, I also used the Bookworm clear stickers and colored them using Sharpie markers (any alcohol based markers work the best).

Bookworm

Did you know that all EAD Designs stickerz and rub-ons ship FREE?!?! Even to Canada!! How often does that happen, Canadians???? (Never, eh?!?) :)
Now head over to see the awesome project Jenn has for you today!

Love my Cameo Blog Hop!!

Hey everyone!! Hope you are having lots of fun on this hop!!! If you have arrived here from Cecilia's blog, Crafting In the Night, you are in the right spot!! If you need to start back at the beginning of the hop, head over to Amy's blog!! You don't want to miss any of these projects!!

What do I love about the cameo???? Well.... where do I start... :) My FAVORITE thing is how clean it cuts. That is my biggest pet peeve about my cricut... My second favorite thing is being able to purchase files online. I live 2 hours away from the closest city so anything I can buy online is perfect!! Plus, you have these wonderful little files at your fingertips 24 hours a day, and you receive them almost instantly!! LOVE!! :) I have quite the collection of SVG's going on...... And my project  includes some of my favorites!!

These cute little bread slices are from the Stuck On You set by Lettering Delights. I love them... they're so adorable!! Especially with the Peachy Keen faces!! These faces came from the Winter Wonderland Face Assortment set.

I did a lot of doodling with my white gelly roll pen and added dimension to the card by using pop dots under my bread slices.

This perfect sentiment is from the Pink By Design set You Are. I embossed it with white powder. The paper is by Momenta and I used an EK Success border punch as well as a striped embossing folder for added details.

I am the last stop on the hop!! Wasn't it inspiring?!? I don't have any candy for this hop specifically... :( BUT I do have a giveaway going on right now!! Click HERE for details on the Cricut Cartridge I am giving away once I reach 600 followers!!

I love butterflies & daisies!

HELLO!!! :) Today I am sharing a layout that I LOVE....

I used my stitched circle die from My Creative Time to create the scalloped kraft paper edge on the left hand side. I took a strip of white scalloped ribbon, cut it in half and glued it down with ZipDry glue. The journaling stamp is from the Pink By Design Journling Set. Of course I added some pearls - don't I always?! :)

Brittyn will be 18 months in two days, I can't believe it! I remember the day I took these pics, and it seems like yesterday! Sigh....

I used my EAD Designs Tinytwinies Stickerz along with Momenta paper to make this layout. The tree is cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. I used my distressed wood Pink By Design background stamp on the tree trunk.  And did you notice my stitching?? I'm getting better with my sewing machine now! Yay!

The words in my title were cut from Baby Steps and the heart came from Gypsy Wanderings.

I'm entering this layout into the following challenges...
-  February Challenge at Simply Crafts
- Wacky Wednesdays at More Than Favors
- Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut
- Terrific Tuesdays at Scrappy Moms

Hope you enjoyed my layout today!!!

What not to do...

This is my second post of the day - if you're looking for my EAD Designs Blog Hop post, click HERE

I made this card a couple days ago, and am just getting the chance to post it... This was one of those projects that kinda flopped...

I followed this weeks sketch over at Pretty Little Studio...

And here is my card!

I loved the sketch for this card, but I kinda wrecked my EAD Stickerz. :( I colored them with permanent Sharpie markers and then added a layer of Glossy Accents to make them stand out a little more. I experimented with the glossy accents on the stickers and it worked fine, but for some reason the mermaid's hair bled! The dark brown was the only color that seemed to do this... Maybe it wasn't completely dry? Not sure.......

I used Momenta paper and the sentiment I used on this card is from the Pink By Design stamp set Sandy Toes.

I made the banners using the Small Banner Pink By Design stamp set.

Anyways, hopefully you were inspired by SOME part of this card!! :)

EAD Designs Blog Hop!!

Hi everyone!!! Boy, am I excited for today!!! It seems like forever since the EAD Design Team was announced! I have been anxiously awaiting my first "duty" as a member of the great team!! While I have been patiently waiting, I've been passing the time playing with all my EAD goodies! I can't wait to share all my projects with you!! :)

If you are here from Amy's blog then you are in the right spot! If you're just stopping in to check on my blog, make sure to start back at the beginning so you can get in on ALL the EAD inspiration!! PLUS - if you leave a comment on each stop in the hop, you will be entered to win some EAD goodies!!!

My card today was inspired by my younger cousin who recently lost her beloved pet. :(

I wanted to make a CUTE sympathy card that makes a person want to smile, even though they're feeling so down. I think this card would do the trick, don't you?? I love the 2Cute Ink Stickerz... and I think I love coloring them even more! :) I used my Sharpie permanent markers and gold stickles to add some color to my Stickerz. The sentiment is from the Sympathy stamp set by Pink By Design.

I used some pop dots to add dimension to my card. I added twice the amount under my banner to make it really stand out. The scalloped edge along the side is a piece of white ribbon that I cut in half down the middle. I glued each half to each side of the blue layer. I love how it turned out...

The BEST thing about these Stcikerz, is that they are repositionable!! I seriously moved these stickers three times before I found them a home I was happy with!! Love that!!

In case you get lost, here is a list of all the stops in this hop!

You Shine

2nd post of the day! :) Since my other post was technically for the Pink By Design blog, I thought I should post again! I FINALLY got to play with my Silhouette a little! It cuts smooooooooooooooth as butta!!! :) Love it! Since my girls were in my craft room with me (TERRORIZING) while I was figuring out my new machine, I kept this project simple and quick... I was inspired by the Inspiration Challenge over at Pretty Little Studio.

This picture actually inspired me in kind of a funny way.... When I looked at these gray straws my first thought was - this pic needs more COLOR!! :)

I used my Candy Cane Pink By Design background stamp and gray ink to get the stripes in the background. I used a rainbow from the Silhouette store and used my 2 way glue pen to add Martha Stewart glitter to each layer. I had a hard time choosing my sentiment! I wanted to go with 'friendship makes life colorful', but I wanted to keep this card soooo simple that it seemed a little long in this case. (Both sentiments are from the Friends to the End set by Pink By Design) I opted for 'you shine' which I embossed with red sparkly powder.

I popped the rainbow off the page with foam stickers to give it some dimension.

Hope you like my very simple card!! I hope I get more time to play with my Silhouette tonight!!! :)

Pink By Design Post!

Hey Everyone!! It's my second Pink By Design post of the week... I used Momenta paper, EAD Designs stickerz, and of course, Pink By Design stamps. Make sure to head over there to check it out! For now, I'll give you a little sneak peek! :)
