Holiday Cheer and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Hey everyone!!! Happy Halloween!!! My girls and I have such a busy day today..... Halloween Party at Preschool, then come home for some lunch and a rest then TRICK OR TREATING!! Bria has been practicing since the summer!! I know she's going to have a great time!

Ok... so although it's Halloween today, I happened to make a Christmas card... As much as I love Christmas, I don't want it to come any time soon... I already miss summer. :( But, I just keep thinking - sooner or later, summer will come again!! It always does! :) Until then, I guess I'll just suck it up!

I made this card for the Scrappy Mom's challenge. It was to use Doodlecharms. Which I never use so it was good to dust it off!

This snowman is supposed to be a cookie... can you tell? I'm undecided.... The card is pretty plain, but I might make a few of them so I wanted to keep it simple.

In this pic, I was trying to show the dimension of the card. Don't you love the little Peachy Keen face???? So cute... My new favorite thing to color the face in with is Glaze pens. So fun.

Anyways, have a great Halloween!!! Everyone cross your fingers my two little princesses behave for me tomorrow! PS - Can't wait to show you their costumes! :)

Peacock Love

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

I have a layout to show you today! :) I have catching up on layouts on the brain... I won't rest until they are ALL CAUGHT UP!! Kidding, that will never happen. Totally wishful thinking.

First off, there is a little story behind "peacock".... When my daughter was younger, and could hardly talk, she surprised us and repeated the lyrics in the song "I wanna see your peacock" by Katy Perry that she heard on the radio one day. Although we discouraged her to sing the song (if you know the song, it's not really one you'd like a 2 year old to run around singing...), we laughed when she wasn't watching... ;) Ever since then, she has called a wide variety of birds "peacocks" and has some sort of fascination with them. I actually even bought new Christmas tree balls that are purple with peacock feather designs on some of them this year! :) I wanted to use these pics along with the peacock stickers just to help us remember what a "card" Bria was/is and those "wild" things she used to do to make us smile. When I saw these stickers on EAD Designs, I had to buy them! :)

I know this page will always preserve our memory of the first song Bria ever learned, and make us smile every time we see it.

I will be back again tomorrow with another layout!!! Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Have a Bee-utiful Day!

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hey Everyone!! BRRRR... Winter definitely feels like it's on its way here.... We were outside for a few hours this morning with a landscaper planning out what we're going to do with our yard come spring and I am STILL frozen! Is it sad to say that I already wish we were heading into spring?? I thought a "spring-y" project would help warm me up... :)

I love this little bee.... and the Peachy Keen face just MAKES this!! The inside of the card is stamped with a sentiment that reads "Hope you have a Bee-utiful day!!" in pink ink. It's from the Honey Pie set.

I had a friend ask me to make her a card and bag with a bumble bee on it and this is what I came up with. The paper is from the Me & My Big Ideas Mambi stack and the cute little bee is from Create A Critter. I used the Happy Lashes Peachy Keen stamp set for the bee's cute little face. Speaking of PK, if you follow me on Facebook at all you may have seen me mention that I have been having a great week... In the last PK blog hop I won a super cute scarecrow set of stamps along with a scarecrow accessories set!! On top of that, I won a $15 gift certificate to the PK store!! Jackpot! :) I'm also waiting on some of my stamps from the newest release of Pink By Design stamps to come in the mail. I can't wait to play with them and show you what I make! The new release is scheduled for November 4th, I'll have more details posted within the next few days....

Hope you all have an awesome day!! Come back again tomorrow for another fun  layout using EAD Designs stickers!

Golden Memories

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hi everyone!! So I have a couple new projects to show you... Only one today though! You'll have to wait for the other one tomorrow! :) I'm sure you're on pins and needles... ;)

Here is my fall layout...

I haven't gotten the pics for this layout developed yet, but I've posted them below so you can envision the finished layout!

(Sorry if you've seen these before...)

I am sooo in love with this stack. The colors are amazing!!! The pic just doesn't do it justice!! Speaking of colors... I am entering this into the color challenge over at EAD Designs. The winnner gets a chance to be a guest designer on their blog! I would LOVE that opportunity!!

Everything in this layout is from the Harvest Gatherings stack by DCWV, except the title which is cut from Plantin Schoolbook and Sophisticated. The leaves are Recollections, and the ribbon is from my stash. I also used some Vintage Photo Distress Ink to ink some items to make them stand out a little more.

Hope you like my layout!! I'll be back tomorrow with a bag/card set!

Baby Love

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! ***** (only need 28 more followers before I can give away my prize!! :))

HI!!! I haven't had a chance to post for a while! I have been working on cards like CRAZY for a craft sale I attended this past weekend. I am soooo ready to work on some layouts... Don't get me wrong, I like cards, but layouts are my one true love! :) Plus, I have so much catching up to do. I hate not scrapping current pics of my kids, but I'm starting to realize it may be a little unrealistic to be caught up at all times. Anyways... onto my layout!

It's my day to post over at Pink By Design. My little tutorial over there today was how I made the bingo card. If you haven't checked out the Pink By Design blog yet, you REALLY should. Everyday one of the Design Team members posts a projects with a tip or technique. I have learned so much from them.

I love how this turned out... Brittyn was not even a week old in these pics. I think she may have only been 3 days old... Talk about HAIR, hey?! Bria, my other daughter, didn't have a lot of hair until she was 18 months old so when we saw Brittyn for the first time we were pretty shocked!

I used the Bingo stamp set by Pink By Design, along with some white embossing powder, Vintage Photo/Worn Lipstick Tim Holtz distress inks, Recollections pearls, doily and a silver butterfly charm. Oh, and the pretty 'B' was cut from the Sophisticated cartridge - which I am so obsessed with now!

I used pink crinkle ribbon (from the Pink By Design store) for the little bows.

I hope you like my layout, and be sure to stop over at the PBD blog! I also just received a few more stamp sets from PBD this morning and last night I found out I was a winner of some Peachy Keen stamps from the PK hop last week!!! Jackpot!!! You'll be seeing more projects from me soon!!

Pretty in Pink

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! ***** (only need 30 more followers before I can give away my prize!! :))
Hello everyone!! I am in love with the project I am showing you today!! I have had the Sophisticated cartridge for a little while but haven't had the chance to open it up and really look at it. Now that I have used it, I think I am in LOVE!!! I think this is my new favorite cart!! It's awesome!!! Here is the first - and only, so far - project I made with it...

I haven't made a card and a bag combo for awhile and when I made the card, I knew it HAD to have a matching bag!! I love how it turned out.... So SOPHISTICATED!!! ;)

I used Tim Holtz black distress ink to ink around everything, white glitter glue on the chandelier, bling from the dollarstore, divine cuttlebug embossing folder, ribbon from Michaels and last but not least, the All Girl stamp set from Pink By Design.

I hope you all like it as much as I do!!! Have an awesome day!!

Got Candy?

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! ***** (only need 33 more followers before I can give away my prize!! :))
Hi out there!! My project today is was inspired by two challenges... Throwback Thursdays over at Creative Time for Me and the Sketchy Challenge at Peachy Keen.

I used paper from a Halloween stack by Recollections, the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge, Guess Who stamp set by Pink By Design, some ribbon from my stash, a black paper clip, and an epoxy brad from Wal-Mart. I also used some Martha Stewart glitter glue and a white gelly roll pen.

The Throwback Thursday challenge was to use the card feature on a cartridge. I don't really like shaped cards, but I wanted to use the Hello Kitty shape so I made a card within a card! Hello Kitty on the front of the card opens up to say 'got candy?'. I think it's so cute, and I know Bria will love being able to open up Hello Kitty. :)

I hope you like my card today!!

Cricut-less Set of Cards

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! ***** (only need 33 more followers before I can give away my prize!! :))

Hope everyone's doing great today!! I made this set of cards a couple days ago and am just getting the chance to get them posted today. I actually didn't even use my cricut on these!! I'm just starting to get into punches... they're so much quicker than setting up everything on the cricut... Plus, I can punch anywhere in the house! A great advantage with the kids! :)

I love these colors together...

I used a DCWV textured stack, embossed the paper and then distressed it with a sanding block. I used a total of 3 different embossing folders to get the different textures. I also inked around everything with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I used a butterfly punch by Martha Stewart and stamped the butterflies with Distressed Music background stamp by Pink By Design.

All the sentiments on these cards came from the Scripted Year set by Pink By Design.

Hope you like!! I still have a couple projects I need to share so be sure to come back tomorrow!! :)

Cheese Click!

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! ***** (only need 33 more followers before I can give away my prize!! :))

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having an awesome day! We're just hanging around the house today, relaxing after a busy few days... I'm super busy getting ready for a craft sale coming up but in between cards I like to treat myself to working on a layout!

The color on the pics was off a bit (looks a little blue??) but I tried taking these pics on three separate occasions and finally decided to just use these ones.... I was inspired by the sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays this week.

My daughter always used to call a camera a "Cheese Click!". It was the funniest thing.... I love to try to scrap about those types of things so I don't forget.

This camera stamp is from the Timeless Pieces stamp set by Pink By Design. I cut the base shape from Gypsy Wanderings. I used Cocoa Momento Ink for the stamp and Vintage Photo ink for the inking around the edges.

I used an EK Success punch to make a little journaling tag, and the key is from the jewelry section at WalMart. Also in this project I used Plantin Schoolbook for the 'CLICK!' and some sticker letters from my stash for 'Cheese'. I used a flower embossing folder for the texture on the blue circle towards the top of the page. Last but not least, I used some bronze brads from Recollections.

Today is also a great day for me! I made a deal with myself that after my scrapbooking supply spree while we were in the US, that I wouldn't buy anything else for 2 months. I find that I buy so much stuff, I don't even have a chance to use it! I thought this would make for less time shopping for crafting goodies, and more time for actually crafting! Well today marks the first of 2 months gone without my buying anything!! :) I do know that by the end of the second month I'm going to need to do a little Pink By Design shopping!!!

I thought I would also share a few family pics from Thanksgiving weekend...

Love Fall pics!!! Back soon! Take care!!

Hello everyone! Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! Hope you had an awesome weekend with family, friends and food! I had Thanksgiving supper at our house last night for the first time! I wanted to decorate for the occasion and I thought I would show you my project...

I glittered the pumpkins and made the "place mat" they are on. I have a tutorial on how to make these over at the Pink By Design Blog if you wanted to check out the details.

I used the Distressed Wood stamp to make this patterned paper. Hope you like!! I'll be back tomorrow with a layout! Hope you stop by again soon!! :)

So many candles...

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! ***** (only need 42 more followers before I can give away my prize!! :))

Happy Saturday!!! It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and I am super excited for fun, family and FOOD!!! We're having Thanksgiving supper at our house this year, since not everyone has seen our new pad yet! I have to admit... I'm a little nervous... I am not much of a cook. It's a good thing my grandma, mom and aunt are already bringing half of the supper!!!

I have been working on soo many projects lately!! My oldest daughter, Bria, has really grown up lately. Now she'll sit at her table in my craft room and work on "projects" which gives me time to work on mine! She used to just destroy everything while she was in there... I am loving our special alone time while Brittyn naps. PLUS it means I can get twice as many projects done!!! I have a craft sale coming up towards the end of October so I have been working hard to build up my stock of cards. Can't wait to show you all that I have been working on!! :)

Onto my card...

I used Birthday Bash to cut the candles, then I inked them with Vintage Photo Distress ink and added some glossy accents. The paper came from a Fall stack by Recollections.

The sentiment came from the Pink By Design set Take The Cake. I added a couple brads and inked around the edges of the sentiment. I also embossed the brown background behind the candles with an argyle embossing folder.

I hope you like my quick little card!! I have a couple of neat projects coming up that I will show you in a couple days! Can't wait!!

More Winners & A Layout

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Hey everyone! I guess it's been a few days since I have posted!! Brittyn has had the baby measles and hasn't let me put her down for about 3 or 4 days. She seems to be feeling better today though!!! The rest of us have also been sick so there hasn't been a whole lot of crafting going on unfortunately... On a better note, the winners have been announced for the Pink By Design Blog Hop!!! For all the winners check out Sarah's blog Pink Cricut!! Here is the winner choosen from this blog...

Petunia648
Make sure to email Sarah with your information!!

And here is my layout!

I used an EK Success border punch on the red layer along the bottom, letters and ribbon from my stash and Pink By Design ticket stamps for the tickets.

I used the Sweet Shoppe cart to cut the candies out of irredescent vellum. Then I used a combination of ATG tape and ZipDry to adhere the twine (from the Pink By Design store). Then I just kept wrapping the twine around and around until it almost reached the edges of the vellum. Just a tip... I made sure that I marked the center of the candy before I started. That way I could start the twine exactly in the middle and the "candy" would look like it was still in the middle of the wrapper when it was done.

Hope you like my project today, and congrats to all the winners from the hop!!! Hope you come back again soon!!! :)

Happy Sunday everyone!! Hello to any new followers from the Halloween Blog Hop this weekend! So glad you have stopped by! The hop is still going on, which means you still have a chance to win all the goodies!! See  the link at the top of the page to be directed to the hop!

I'm still playing a little catch up with my scrapbooking. OK, a lot of catching up! :) The pics for this layout are from 2 years ago, just after Bria turned one. I was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays.

My second source of inspiration was the Let's Face It Friday challenge over at Peachy Keen. I haven't used my PK stamps a lot lately since I have been on a more vintage kick so I really wanted to get them out.

I didn't want to use traditional colors on this layout... I thought I would try to match Bria's outfit as much as I could. The paper is from a K&Company stack that I LOVE.

I used twine from The Twinery, a EK Success notebook border punch and Recollections pearls on this page.

I used Create A Critter for the heart in the title and the owl below. The Owl's face is a PK stamp that I colored in with Glaze pens (my new love!) The 'autumn' title is cut from the Hello Kitty Font cartridge. Of course I used my white gelly roll pen to add faux stitching to everything... It's a must! :)

Hope you liked my layout today!! Don't forget to take a peek at the hop if you haven't already!!

Here is the lineup for the hop today...

Emily @ http://www.createserendipity.net  (next stop)

Now that Bria is getting a little older, decorating for the holidays is getting so fun!! She gets so excited and when she see`s the decorations she tells me how beautiful they are! :) So sweet....

Here is my project!! I got part of the idea from a magazine and the other part of the idea from Sarah`s (from Pink Cricut) Halloween Wreath. (HERE to check it out!)

I know it`s hard to see in this pic, so I took some close ups of all the parts.

I used the September Pink By Design stamp of the month, Guess Who, for my project, along with the Mini Monsters cartridge. The paper I used for the rosettes was from a package of Recollections paper. On that note, if you plan on making rosettes, make sure to use the thicker paper... When I was scoring this is would tear if I wasn`t careful.

I cut a bunch of felt circles (traced the rim of a cup on some cardboard, cut it out, then used the cardboard circle template to lay on top of a couple sheets of felt to cut around) and used my new sewing machine to sew around the outside. And yes, I realized I need a lot of practice!! Some of these circles look like they were sewn by a 5 year old! Then I cut a bunch of circles in regular white cardstock and stamped the Guess Who characters onto them using StazOn ink. I colored them in with my Glaze pens by sakura. Then I used Tim Holtz black distress ink to ink the edges.

I made 3 different sized rosettes. The middle sized rosettes had the Guess Who stamps in the center.

I used some epoxy brads from Wal-Mart for the centers of the smallest rosettes.

The biggest rosette had another smaller rosette in the center and then I cut the spider from Mini Monsters and glued him onto the center. I used some stickles for her cheeks and some googly eyes from the dollarstore. I strung the felt circles and rosettes together using twine from the Pink By Design store.

Hope you like my project!! My plans are to make a matching banner for another wall in this room!! Now hop on over to see what Emily has to show you!!
