Precious Cargo

*** Click HERE for my Celebrate Summer Link-Up Party!!***
*** Click HERE for my 350 follower GIVEAWAY!! ***

Hi Everyone!! Hope you are having a great weekend so far! Brittyn's had a fever the last two days so she's been pretty miserable. :( She's been either in my arms or on my lap for the majority of the day (including now). I hope she feels better soon, poor little monkey.

So I have ANOTHER layout today!! The pics are from when we were taking Brittyn home from the hospital. I made it for the Pink By Design Anniversary Marathon! If you haven't stopped over there yet, you really should. There is a new project being posted every hour until tonight!! The DT did such an amazing job on their projects. ALSO, they are having a 30% off sale this weekend at the Pink By Design store. You might want to check that out, I have never seen them offer 30% off before... some great deals to be had! I know I couldn't resist, and may have went a tad overboard...

I used the So Big set by PBD to add Brittyn's weight the day she left the hospital (bottom right hand corner of LO). I love this set for doing a baby scrapbook, wish I would've had it for Bria's first year!

I used the Hello Kitty Font cart for 'precious' and Baby Steps for 'cargo'. The letters were welded together on my gypsy. The train (3") and bear (2") were cut from Create A Critter. The bear's face was from the Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed set by Peachy Keen. I embossed the train using a flowered cuttlebug folder (sorry... don't have the name) and used Recollections pearls on the wheels. The baby is cut at 2.25" from Baby Steps and her face is from the Just Baby Faces set by Peachy Keen.

A little while ago I had someone ask me about the faces on a lot of my layouts/cards. I get them from an online store called Peachy Keen Stamps. They're actually having a sale this weekend, check it out! They have some adorable face stamps!!

I also want to say thanks to those of you who have participated in the Celebrate Summer Link Up Party so far!! It's had a great turnout and there are some AWESOME blogs linked up!! Keep spreading the word so we can discover more and more new blogs!!

TGIF!! Actually... Being a stay at home Mom with a huband who works pretty much every day of the week, it doesn't make a difference to me if it's Friday or not! LOL But I'm guessing there are a lot of you who are saying TGIF!! :)

Yesterday was my husband and I's 4th anniversary!! We went out for supper a couple nights ago which was sooo nice since I don't think we've been alone more than 3 times in the last year. Last night at about 8:30 I hid in my craft room to whip up a last minute card for him!

I used the new Timeless Pieces set by Pink by Design for the old typewriter and the sentiment on the paper. The paper is from Complete Boy by My Mind's Eye from Michaels. The little bronze brads were from my stash.

For the inside (as well as the piece on the front), I used a lined notepad I picked up on clearance at Michaels. I cut a piece to the size I needed and used my EK Success border punch along the side to make it look like a piece of paper torn from a notebook. Then I added some Tim Holtz distress ink (vintage photo) to make the page look old.

Super quick and easy!! If you haven't checked out my Celebrate Summer Link-Up party, you should!! There has been some great "hidden gem" blogs already linked that I am in love with!! Please spread the word so we can get to know some more crafters!! AND winning a $10 Pink By Design stamp certificate wouldn't hurt either!! ;) Only a couple days left to participate!!

**** Click HERE for my current GIVEAWAY!! *****

Happy Tuesday Guys!! I seriously cannot believe it's already the 26th of July... Time is FLYING by!! My baby is going to be a year old in two weeks, and I have barely even started on her party planning!!! I have a general idea, but haven't really gotten started. Plus, this weekend is going to be the big One Year Anniversary Party at Pink By Design!! (Make sure you're around for that, it's going to be soo much fun!!)

My layout today is for Brittyn's album. I wanted to make sure I did this page now, so that I don't forget all the words she is saying at this age. I love how this page turned out!!

I got this paper from WalMart the other day and I LOVE it!! It's by Momenta. I couldn't wait to work with it, the colors are awesome.

My FAVORITE things to make and stamp with cute little faces are ice cream, cupcakes and fruit!!! They are just so adorable!!

Here are the details of this layout...
- The ice cream sundae was cut from Sweet Treats @ 5", the cherry on top was embellished with Glossy Accents and the face was from the Peachy Keen Princess Faces set
- the cherries were cut from Hello Kitty Greetings @ 1.5" and stamped also with Peachy Keen Princess Face stamps. I glossed these with Glossy Accents as well (although you can't tell in the pic..)
- the banner was cut from the Birthday Bash cart @ 1.5", the twine was from The Twinery, the letters are stickers from my stash
- 'Talker' is cut from Country Life at about 5.5"
- the little white tag that says '1st words' was made using the Labels set from Pink By Design, the words were from the So Big set (see below...)
- Martha Stewart lace border punch
- scalloped part of journaling tag was cut from Gypsy Wanderings (sorry.. don't have the size) and the inside lined circle was cut from a notepad I bought on sale at Michaels (for this purpose!!) I cut the tage really big because I have so much to say on this layout! :)

Here are the PBD stamp sets I used...

SO BIG

Here are some details...
- Tree is cut @ 10.25" from Winter Frolic, decorated with K&Company gems and white Martha Stewart glitter pens for snow. The little face on the star is from the Wide Eyed Kids set by Peachy Keen. I also spritzed the tree with Pearl Glimmermist to make it sparkly

HAUL!! :)

So a couple days ago my husband and I took the girls out for a shopping day! Well... he took them to the playground in the mall and I shopped! :) Of course I had to make a "quick" stop at Michaels while we were in the city.  They had a great deal on so here is what I picked up....

The picture doesn't show some of the stuff on the bottom very well so here's a list...
- Four Legged Friends cart (actually got this from walmart...) there is a super sweet little horse on here I couldn't pass up!!
- Recollections patterned paper pack - I LOVE cherries and when I saw this I HAD to have it!!
- lined paper pad (thought this might be good for cutting journaling tags out of)
- black flock
- Jolee's stickers (little footprints and some rainbows)
- googly eye stickers
- EK Sucess Notebook border punch
- Martha Stewart double scalloped border punch
- 5 jars of Pearl Ex (this works AWESOME for making your own glitter spray!!) and a spritzer
- 2 red momento ink pads and a Tim Holtz ink pad

I think that's it... I think I need to work on using the supplies I HAVE instead of buying any more!! I've been a little crazy buying things lately!! Time to get experimenting with it all!!

Just wanted to remind everyone I'll be taking part in a Christmas in July Blog Hop From July 22nd to the 24th so you should all stop by! I'll be giving away another $10 Pink By Design Gift Certificate to a lucky follower as blog hop candy!!

Summer Treats

SO this post was supposed to be for tomorrow but I didn't want to miss the deadline for the Let's Face it Friday Challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. This is going to be a super quick post since we're just on our way out the door to take the girls to the park.

I'm also entering this into the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge!!

And here are the pics that will go into this layout...

Details...
- popsicles are from Simply Charmed cut @ 3", the faces are from the Princess set by PK
- 'summer' is from Ashlyn's Alphabet and 'treats' is from BabySteps (both welded with my gypsy)
- ribbon and pearls from michaels
- twine from the twinery
-Basic Grey buttons
- paper from BabyGirl stack by DCWV

Later!! :)

Another Baby Layout!!

HI!!! So I finished up another layout this morning!! Mission Scrapbook CatchUP is going great lately! If our family heads to Disney this fall I know I'll NEED to be caught up before then!! Check out another pic of my hairy little baby when she was only a week old...

I was inspired by the Sketchy Thursdays Challenge this week:

Of course - DETAILS!!
- I inked almost everything on this page with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
- coat is cut from Kate's ABCs at 3", pink layer was embossed with a dot Cuttlebug folder, Recollections pearls as buttons
- ribbon is from my stash (I inked this as well...)
- corner embellishments are cut from Storybook at 2"
- 'Baby' title is from Gypsy Wanderings, ribbon is from Michaels
- doodles with white gelly roll pen

I thought I would show a pic of how I applied the cream ribbon.....

All I did was run a strip or two of ATG tape along the edge of the paper. Then I stuck the ribbon onto the paper, bunching it up randomly. Pretty simple! :)

I also haven't been contacted yet by the winner of my giveaway (the $10 PBD gift certificate)! If the winner doesn't email me by the 22nd then I will choose another winner. Check out THIS post to see if the winner is you!

Baby Picasso

*** Click HERE for my GIVEAWAY!! ***

Hi Everyone!! So sorry this post took longer than I had anticipated... A quick one page layout turned into a two page layout! AND we got a surprise call that my husband's parents are coming here tomorrow for a few days so I have been getting prepared for company.

The pics in this layout are from when Bria made her very first finger painting! LOL Such a typical first time parent... taking pics of every time the first born blinks!
Apparently my mind was elsewhere when I was working on this layout and I made an error... I'm hoping no one notices??

My pictures are not the greatest... I lost my light tonight.

I was so excited about my new Recess cart!! It's awesome!!

Here are some details...
  • the frame around Bria's painting came from Pooh and Friends cut at 8". I used gold brads in the corners to look like nails
  • the title came from a combination of Baby Steps and Hello Kitty Font. I welded the letters together on my gypsy
  • the cute little paintbrush came from Recess, I used glossy accents over the paint to make it look more like real pain
  • the sentiment on the bottom of the frame reads 'From small beginnings come great things' from the Baby Love set by Pink By Design. I embossed it with white embossing powder
  • the other paint brushes and palette also came from Recess, the paint on the palette is also embellished with glossy accents and I inked around the palette with Tim Holtz ink
  • the buttons are basic grey
  • the pearls are from the dollarstore
  • I used my Martha Stewart drippy goo border punch along the blue layer and added glossy accents to make the paint more realistic
  • twine from the twinery
  • recollections brads
  • doodles with white gelly roll pen

If you haven't checked out my giveaway yet, you should! (Link at the top of this post...) It hasn't been overly successful so far... :( But I guess that means a better chance for anyone who enters!!

Hi Guys!!! So I am half way done another layout that I want to post but I am having major difficulties updating my gypsy so that I can load me new Recess cartridge!! :( If anyone knows any tricks to get this to work, please let me know!! Until then I'll keep plugging away and looking around the internet! Hope you all are having a great day!! I hope I'll be back soon!

You BAKE me happy

***** Click HERE for my GIVEAWAY!! *******

Happy Monday! :) Ya know why I love Mondays?? Because I can't wait to see what the new weekly challenges are!! I love challenges... If you have followed my blog for any length of time I'm sure you already know that!

I've been super lucky to have been able to spend quite a bit of time in my craft room this past week. I love those kinds of weeks. I'm sure as my kids get older I'll be able to find more time to craft, or maybe that's just wishful thinking? What do you think, moms???

So here is my layout for today... Not my best work but I still think it's pretty cute...

I always see people's vintage projects and I LOVE them. Vintage doesn't come overly natural to me so I'm trying to get a feel for it. The picture above was from a really really old magazine I bought at an antique store.

Here are some details...
  • vintage photo is from antique magazine, I inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in vintage photo
  • doilies are from the Dollarstore, I inked them with Tim Holtz antique linen ink
  • Martha Stewart lace border punch
  • ribbon & pearls from Michaels
  • twine from The Twinery
  • button from my stash
Can you believe this is a CRICUTLESS layout!! Unheard of for me!!

Both of my girls were born in August so I've been starting to brainstorm ideas for their birthday... Stay tuned because I have a lot of ideas! Have an awesome day!!

SPLASH!!

Happy Saturday everyone!! SO did any of you guys catch the PBD Ustream last night?? I hope you did! AND I hope one of you won a prize!!

I have another layout for you today! I think I'm starting to gain some ground on the scrapbooking front! We're thinking of taking a trip so I want to get as caught up as I can since I know I will take a TON of pics on a vacation!!

This was from last summer... It was actually only a week or so before Bria became a big sister! I remember this SO clearly because I was trying to keep up with her in/out and racing around the pool when I was ready to POP! LOL

Cutest beach ball ever?? ;)

How I laid this page out was inspired by the Sketchy Thursdays Challenge this week. I also kept in mind a few other challenges when designing this: Wacky Wednesday @ More Than Favors, EAD's Color Challenge, and Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut! Wow - that's a lot of challenges! :)

Here are some details....
  • beach ball is from Sesame Street Seasons cut @ 2", her cute little face is from the Princess set by Peachy Keen - I also tryed a StazOn ink pad for the first time and was soooo impressed!! Until now I had only used the cheapy stamp pads from WalMArt. Never again!
  • 'Splash' title is from Create A Critter, cut at 2.25". The water splashes in it were embellished with Glossy Accents
  • I used Birthday Bash for the banners, cut at 2" and hung with red twine from The Twinery
  • journalling tag is cut from Gypsy Wanderings @ 4"
  • the big blue pearls are from K&Company
  • EK Success border punch
  • ribbon from Michaels
  • doodles with white gelly roll pen
And that's all!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! :)

This week's HAUL!

Hi Guys!! So this last week I have done a bit of shopping for myself... I always love it when people post their hauls so I thought I would try it too! BUT... please keep this between you and I (meaning - don't tell my hubby! :)).

The scrapbook store in town has a closing out sale going on now so I picked up some single sheets of paper, matte accents, buttons, glue dots and various ink pads. THEN I went to our "local" (an hour away) wal-mart and got a few stacks of paper, some tiny clothes pins, glue AND *drumroll* TWINKLE TOES!!! I have been trying to get my hands on this cart for what seems like FOREVER!! This was the last place I expected to see this cart, I thought it was in the US only since I had never seen it here before. Wal-mart also had the new lites so I picked up Recess since Bria is going to Preschool this fall. I would also like to get the sweets and the coffee one but I may have to wait, I have definitely went over budget on scrapbooking goods these last few months... What an addictive sport this is!!! ;)

Have an awesome night! :)

Monkeyin' Around!!

Hi Everyone!!! I am so happy to be posting today! :) This week has been amazing for us... The weather has been AWESOME (finally) and my girls have been in their bathing suits everyday!! We've been doing all kinds of fun things from going to the community outside pool, to going shopping and to the spray park and also playing in our own little blow up pool on our deck. I hope this weather keeps up!!

A couple weeks ago my husband had a day off work so we went to the city and took the girls to the zoo! I just couldn't wait to scrap the pics from our day...

This page is for Brittyn's scrapbook. Here are the pics that are going onto the pages (once I get them developed...).

She was sooo excited when they fed the baby monkies!! It was adorable!! (I think it may have actually been the bottle she was so excited about, but in my mind, it was the monkies....)

I just picked this paper stack up at Michaels last time I was there and I LOVE the color combinations in it!! It's he Carolyn Gavin stack by K&Company.

Here are the details...
  • title, monkey and all leaves are from Create A Critter (all cut @ 3")
  • all paper is either Recollections for from the K&Company Carolyn Gavin stack
  • twine from The Twinery
  • buttons from BasicGrey
  • doodles with white gelly roll pen
I would LOVE to see all your ideas for ZOO layouts!! Post them HERE in the PBD forum so we can all be inspired!! :)

I hope you guys like!! :) I have been doing a lot of shopping for scrapbooking supplies this past week so I'm planning on showing you all my goods soon!! There is also a TON of great info from Pink By Design Stamps I am going to pass on soon - trust me... you don't want to miss out!!! :) Have an amazing day!!
